Church Gathering Update—A message from Pastor Sam to our church family

Dear GRC family,

We miss you! We’ve been gathering online for some time now since this national emergency escalated in mid-March.

Aren’t you grateful that technology has allowed us to continue to connect and care for one another through our online services, care groups and chat groups?

I just want to say a huge thank you to all of you for continuing to reach out, staying in touch, and praying for each other during this time. Y’all truly make GRC still feel like home even though we have been unable to meet in real life.

While we’re encouraged to see signs that things are slowly opening up again in Texas, some of you may be wondering if we are planning to open our physical campuses anytime soon.

I’ve recorded a short message (from my living room!) to update everyone on our plans for the church at this time.

Even as we continue to meet online during this season, know that the church is very much alive, and God is very much present with you in your living rooms, bedrooms, or any room you’re watching us from—on your TVs, iPads or phones.

Liz and I miss you, and I know many of you haven’t had a chance to meet Scarlett yet. Pastor Josh and Lindsay, as well as Pastor Michael—we all are looking forward to worshipping together at Plano and NRH again, but we want to make sure we can do it safely, with wisdom and with regard for the rules of the land as well as consideration for the vulnerable in our midst.

Let’s continue to pray that this crisis will come to a swift end for us in Texas and the rest of the states. Amen? We’ll see you online for church on Sunday, and on Tuesdays for The Assembly. We love you!

See y’all online!
Pastor Sam Gabriel
